About this Weekly Special
This page shows the starting point of a “build-along clinic” that Jim Six conducted over the SMRF (Southeastern Model Railroaders Forum) e-mail list in 2003. Members followed along as Jim documented each step of upgrading a Life-Like Proto 2000 Southern Railway Green GP7. The clinic itself unfolded through e-mail discussion and is no longer available online, but this page captures the introduction and the prototype photos that launched it.
Special thanks to Warren Calloway, whose prototype photography made this project possible.
