Sherry Arthur "Sam" McCall

Sherry Arthur "Sam" McCall died Saturday, July 19, 2003 at his home in Franklin, VA.

A native of Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late Sammie Avery and Arthur Raymond McCall. A navy veteran of the Korean War, Mr. McCall was a graduate of Auburn University and a registered electrical engineer. He formerly worked in the power plant at Union Camp and was retired from VDOT in Suffolk. He enjoyed constructing HO scale model trains; attended train shows in Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland; was an eBay seller; and had a web site under the name "HO Sam."

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Marie Schulch McCall, and four sons, Sherry A. McCall II and John Raymond McCall, both of Franklin, Thomas Edmund McCall of Dothan, AL, and Walter Lee McCall and his wife, Lina of Florida; a sister, Mary Ann Abrams of Pensacola, FL; and three grandchildren, Courtney Noel McCall and Heather Ashley McCall. Mr. McCall was predeceased by a granddaughter, Crystal M. McCall.
