There are discussions underway about forming a new Talk-List. Some time when you are not doing anything else surf on over to this web site. http://www.lethargy.com. Instructions will be posted there to allow subscribing to this list. At present this list has been tenatively named "Model Railroad Project Procrastinators" or MRPP. Other lists may be formed in the future.
There is a questionaire to be filled out and all questions should be answered. Failure to answer all questions will not delay or speed up your membership. Unanswered questions can be submitted at a later date. Please allow sufficient time for the entire questionaire to download. The server, in keeping with the tenor of the list, is still running on megacycles. Plans are being thought about for upgrading the speed of the server.
Typical questions are:
1. How many projects do you have unfinished? Some, many, more than I care to mention.
2. How many new projects are you planning? Now how did you arrive at this answer?
3. Do you have a timetable for completion? You could be disqualified if you have a timetable.
4. Is the scenery complete on your layout? Homosote painted green and factory brown flextrack does not count.
5. Is the wiring complete on your layout? Jumpers with alligator clips do not count
6. Have you started the layout yet? Purchased lumber stacked up does not count.
7. Are you planning a layout? Thinking about it counts, sketches don't.
8. Does your wife know you have all that model railroad stuff hidden?
9. Are you ever going to tell her?There is no rush on getting to the site and certainly no rush in subscribing. In fact the last one there may win a prize if and when a committee is formed to begin to organize the awards ceremony if there are enough late subscribers.
At present we are looking for people to help with the formation of this talk list. Don't send faxes, e-mail or snail-mail. Best method to alert people to your eagerness to volunteer for this project would be keeping it a secret, if you can.
